Want Internet Access 1 Million Times Faster

How about having internet access 1 million times faster than it is at present, charging your phone in seconds…from your shirt, knowing your blood composition in real time, or getting the new iphone without actually getting a new physical phone, well get ready because a new substance is here: graphene.

Graphene is a substance that is one atom thick, 100 times stronger than steel and is a superconductor of electricity.  This is stuff sci-fi dreams are made of.

You can potentially change the composition of a product simply by have it interact with lasers.  So potentially your smartphone can become a different computer in seconds.

  • It stores energy as well and can recharge in seconds.
  • It was also proven to transfer data at a terabit per second by a study at Georgia Tech.
  • It could also function as a bioelectric sensor in wearable clothing that could tell you your blood glucose and cholesterol levels in real time.
  • You can also charge your phone with that same piece of wearable graphene.

Solar Roads

A couple has raised $1 million on IndieGoGo to create solar panels to cover our nation’s roads.  The endeavor would enable the U.S. to generate 3 times as much energy as it needs.  It would also do something amazing… get rid of those unsightly power lines that obscure views all across the country.

The panels could also light up to show directions and road signs and they could also warn drivers when animals like deer are on the road.

The prototype can hold a 250,000 pound truck and they have one laid out as a parking lot.  Of course there are naysayers  who claim that the cost is too prohibitive to manufacture and install, but if we consider how much it costs to maintain our roads now and how they don’t give anything revenue back, the roads could pay for themselves.

I could see parking lots as the first step because businesses have more autonomy but if there is enough traction, states and eventually the federal government may back the project to change all the roads over.

Here's their project:

Imminent Danger

What would you do if you saw your buddy in this situation?

Should You “Flesh Out” or “Flush Out” Your Plan?

This is a great post on Merriam Webster’s Dictionary site that shows the difference between these two commonly misused phrases.

You should definitely “flesh out” your plan, however if you are duck hunting then you should definitely “flesh out” a plan to “flush out” the birds.

Aero-X Hover Bike

We are almost there…the car of the Jetson’s is almost here.  In 2017 you will be able to buy the new Aero-X hover bike for a measely $85,000. If you are really hungry to get in line you can pre-order it for $5,000 down.

Although it runs on gas for only 1 and a quarter hours and only goes 45 mph, it can go up to 12 feet high and looks really cool.

Dolphins vs. Shark

Talk about good karma.  A swimmer trying to raise money to stop whaling and help the dolphins was swimming in New Zealand and saw a great white shark beneath him.  Just then a pod of 10 dolphins swims up and stays with him for about an hour until the shark leaves.
